O Sing Joyfully by Adrian Batten
Many religious in-person gatherings were prohibited during the summer of 2020 and St. Peter’s on the Rock at Stoney Lake Ontario, was no exception. The Edison Singers was approached by the church to see if we would be willing to provide choral music videos for their virtual services. We jumped at the chance to help out. Eight of our choristers were permitted to record at Knox Presbyterian Church Elora. During these difficult times, it is heartening to see individuals and organizations giving a helping hand, without hesitation and paying it forward.

Easter Greeting 2020
In this time of isolation, our new technological world has allowed us to reach out through this wonderful medium. I want to share this video with you. It is a brief talk on two pieces from J. S. Bach’s B Minor Mass, which musically and.spiritually sums up the deep sentiment of this Holy weekend.,especially now with such emptiness. Our places of worship, our communities and the Tomb are all empty, but on Easter Sunday let us fill our hearts and souls with the fullness of Bach’s life-affirming belief.
After this talk please be sure to listen to the youtube recording of John Eliot Gardner and the Monteverdi Choir’s rendition of Crucifixcus and Et Resurrexit.
