It’s hard to believe that Handel wrote his epic Messiah in only 21 days in 1741. His musical journey is one that millions have grown to love and has become an annual staple for so many. The Edison Singers continue Noel Edison's creative tradition of "A Village Messiah," which at times features soloists drawn from within the ensemble, and other times, the full voice section, sings a 'solo' aria. This performance approach delivers a deeply personal and stirring rendition of one of music's great masterpieces. Our abbreviated version (90 minutes) with choir and orchestra, preserves all the great tunes, the wonderful dance-like rhythms and, of course, a resounding... Hallelujah – Amen!
